The best of both worlds! This nostalgic mash-up piles the components of a cheeseburger (yes, even lettuce, tomato and onion) on store-bought pizza dough. Barbecue sauce adds an unexpected but welcome edge of sweetness that brings everything together.

  • 1/2 c.

    barbecue sauce

  • 2 oz.

    extra-sharp Cheddar, coarsely grated (1⁄2 cup)

  • 1

    head butter lettuce, torn

  • 1/2 pt.

    cherry tomatoes, quartered

  • 1/2

    small red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp.

    olive oil

  • Kosher salt and pepper


TOP IT OFF: Add your favorite burger toppings — like sliced pickles, relish or roasted mushrooms — to the salad mix to finish your ’za.
